So, the past few weeks have been crazy busy and I have not had a chance to post any kind of updates to the shoots I’ve been on. This time of year gets very busy and it’s just now Thanksgiving week…so I know it’s only going to get busier. This is totally okay with me because I love this time of year! However, I wanted to take a second and post a couple pictures I took this afternoon of Jason and Tara McMahan’s new baby boy. Spencer came into this world on Sunday, November 13th. Every time I look through the lens and take a shot, I’m constantly thinking about the story this will tell. Every picture has a story and I love that I get to freeze those moments in time. I also love to hear the stories of the people as I’m there capturing their moment. Jason and Tara have such an awesome story of how they met, the life they live together, and now the story of their new baby boy Spencer. A time of patience and building of their trust in God that his timing is always perfect has prepared them for this moment. Every good and perfect gift comes from above and the glow on their faces tell that story better than anyone could write about.

So, I’m posting only a few from today. These are more than just pictures. It’s their story of love, trust, and a miracle.

Kyrie and Ricky are getting married!! Woohooo! So excited for these two and I had so much fun hanging out with them the other day. Here are a few from the other day and more to come later. I will be shooting their wedding on October 22nd and I’m so excited to see the both of them all decked out. When you are around these two, you can’t help but laugh and have a good time. love this couple!

Had so much fun with this couple the other day and they are such a blast to be around! I have to say that one of my favorite parts of what I get to do is to see the smiles and how contagious they are. It’s so much fun to capture moments of laughter and the natural interaction of people. When editing, I’ll find myself just smiling so much when I see a natural smile. I’m not talking about the posed shots and the fake smiles. You can tell when a smile is genuine. So, here are a few pictures from Krystal and Tomi… more to come later! enjoy

Tuesday morning, I’m sipping on some of my tasty Starbucks coffee and listening to some good ole’ Phil Wickham and this idea came to me. I call my brother-in-law on Tuesday night to see what he has going on the next day because I would like to use him as a model for this project. He’s game so I tell him I will find the location and we’ll get it done. I take a short drive on my lunch break on Wednesday and find this vacant building with some great texture. Took a snapshot with my phone (see below) and sent to my brother-in-law. This was the place. So, Wednesday night we setup, I take a few pictures, and later that night I came up with this. Below is the location shot with my phone and the final image. Enjoy!

Once we got there and laid out the shoot idea, I was able to start snapping away. After catching some great shots and the awesome cooperation of Robert, here is what I came up with!

T-Shirts are coming!

So, I finally have a printer who is hooking me up with some sweet American Apparel Tri-Blend shirts. I tried them on and they are true to size with an awesome fit… and I must say that I think I have found my new favorite style t-shirt. It fits like a vintage t-shirt that you’ve had for years with a slim cut through the waist. Needless to say, if you get one… you will LOVE it! Shirt color is “coffee” with “cream” graphics.

So, for this first order, I am putting together a special deal. I’ve knocked the price down to $15 each and those that pre-pay will be entered in a drawing for a free photo session!! How cool is that?! You get your new favorite t-shirt and a chance for a free photo session. This order will be going in on Friday (Sept 30th) and I’ll be doing this the old fashion way (cash/check) since I do not have my Pay Pal account set up for this site yet. I’m so excited about the shirts, so I can’t wait much longer to get them in.

Alex Sullivan: Senior 2012

Had a lot of fun hanging out with Alex Sullivan tonight. He is such an awesome guy and fun to be around. So, here are just a few pictures from our session with him and his 74’ VW Bus. Well, in just a few short days, my little man is going to be 1 year old. September 14th 2010 was an amazing day when Kacie and I welcomed our son Colsen Maxwell Henry. Looking forward to seeing him grow and change the world!
